May was an extremely busy month for us.On my birthday I took the kids to my parents' (Marty and Kerry's) house where we played with Blake's new Brio train table (my dad has loved Brio trains since I was closer to Blake's age) and Kyle showed me how to use my new camera. We had celebrated the night before with Becky so she could use my actual birthday to prepare for Blake's big party the next day.
For Mother's Day I took the kids out for most of the day so that Becky could get some rest, then Cassie came to babysit while Becky and I went to see Star Trek (which we both loved).
We also had our big San Diego vacation, which is the subject of a separate post.
A few days after we returned, Becky took the kids with Linda to Ocean Shores for Memorial Day weekend. They had a good time playing by the beach and riding on bikes, though I think by the time they came back home they were all vacationed out. I spent the weekend doing yard work, taking pictures, and having a boys poker night.Now it's time to get everyone back to going to bed at a reasonable time and into a comfortable routine.
